Miele washing machines given official seal of approval

Miele Professional water-saving washing machines have been named on the UK Government's Water Technology List, letting businesses using the machines get more value for money.

The Water Technology List, managed by AEA for Defra and HM Revenue and Customs, aims to help businesses save money by encouraging them to invest in technologies and products that reduce water use.

The Miele machines meet the criteria to enable Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) claims.

Kate Davis, AEA water specialist, said, “Businesses will benefit in the long term through reduced water costs and improved water efficiency and in the short term by claiming an Enhanced Capital Allowance.”

She added, “Miele Professional is one of the product and technology manufacturers leading the industry forward. One of the objectives of offering the ECA is to encourage innovation and to encourage companies such as Miele Professional to come up with new technologies to improve water use.”

Miele Professional’s products fall into the ‘efficient washing machines’ category on the Water Technology List.

The Miele Professional models included on the list are the PW6055, PW6065, PW6080, PW6107, PW5105, PW6137, PW6167, PW6207, PW6247 and PW6321.

Les Marshall, sales and marketing director of Miele Professional, said: “We are delighted to be included on the Water Technology List. This not only provides a huge endorsement to the water efficiency of our products, but it also means that our customers can get an extra tax benefit by buying a Miele Professional washing machine.”
